The Fort St John Huskies were victorious over the Sexsmith Vipers in their only game last weekend.  On Friday night the pups came out ahead over the Vipers with a score of  7 - 2. 

The Fort St John Huskies started off their 2010 - 2011 season with 2 wins.  The pups played the Slave Lake Wolves winning Saturday night 7 - 2 and on Sunday afternoon 5 - 3.  Scoring in Saturday's contest was Captain Aaron Dendys with 2 and singles going  to Robbie Sidhu, Jesse Disher, Chris Sperling , Jr Apsassin and Kole Norris.  Ty Gullickson got the win between the pipes.  On Sunday afternoon, scoring for the Huskies was Tyson Pedersen, Kole Norris, Dane Pedersen, Luke McInerney and Payden Wongstedt.  Travis McLean got his first start in net for the Huskies but had to leave the game halfway through the third period due to an injury.  The Huskies play their next home game on Friday October 1st at the NP Arena against the Sexsmith Vipers.

The Fort St John Huskies played 2 Exhibition games last weekend losing to Dawson Creek on Friday night in Dawson 7 - 6 and 5 - 2 to Peace River in Fort St John Sunday afternoon.  The game proceeds from Sunday afternoon's game  went to Kid Sport in Fort St John raising $1,000 for the local group.  The Huskies kick off their regular season in Fort St John against the Slave Lake Wolves on Saturday night at    8 PM.  Check out the photos from the Sunday afternoon game in the photo gallery.

The FSJ Huskies are having their only home exhibition game on September 19th.  They will be playing the Peace River Navigators at 2 PM at the NP Arena.  This year, all proceeds from this game will be going to support KidSport in Fort St John.  So mark September 19th on your calendar and not only cheer on your local Junior Hockey team but help provide support to children and youth in our community.
